Divide your life in two parts. One reason will be for the
purpose of God communicating to the spirit of God and the other will be for the
carnal purpose to support your fleshly needs.
1. Prayer will be on the top of the list
meditation on the true needs to please God will be the link to understand the
reason for your prayer. Psalm 18: <A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake
unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered
him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he
said,>> I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. 2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress,
and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and
the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy
to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.4The sorrows of death compassed me, and the
floods of ungodly men made me afraid. 5The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the
snares of death prevented me. 6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and
cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before
him, even into his ears.
2. The power of your prayer will determine
your strength and love for the Lord. Faith works hand and hand. I John
5:13- These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God. 14And
this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according
to his will, he heareth us: 15And if
we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions
that we desired of him.
3. At times in prayer there will be a delay in
your request. And we will be tempted by the devil to be discouraged and lose
our faith and lose your request. Joshua 1:
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou
divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give
them. 7Only be
thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to
all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to
the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever
thou goest. 8This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou
shalt have good success. 9Have
not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither
be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou
goest.
4. Romans 15:27 It has pleased them
truly; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers
of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in carnal things.
Romans 8:7 7Because the carnal mind is enmity
against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot
please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the
Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is
dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
