Are You Rapture Ready?

Are You Rapture Ready?

One of the most serious questions people can ask themselves today is "Are you rapture ready?" The reason for this is that with all the end times signs popping up around us, it is important that people ask themselves the question that if Jesus were to call home believers to Heaven today, would you go up in the rapture or would you be left behind to meet the Antichrist and go through the terrible seven year tribulation period? This is a question everyone must ask themselves as their eternal salvation is at stake.
Now, the rapture of the church is for believers in Jesus Christ who have made a genuine faith decision to accept the blood atonement of Jesus Christ on the Cross. The soon to be sudden disappearance of church age believers is often referred to as the "blessed hope" as it is God's promise to spare believers of the wrath to come:
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ...
As we can see from above the church has the distinct promise from the Lord to be saved from the time and place of his wrath. What exactly is the time and place of God's wrath? The answer is found in what is known as the "Time of Jacob's Trouble" which is another term for the seven year tribulation period. The time period is described as the worse 7 year period ever seen on the Earth. However, the church will be called up to Heaven before the dreaded and terrible Day of the Lord or seven year tribulation period.
Those people who have not accepted the FREE gift of salvation from God will be destined to go through this terrible time of God's wrath that will be poured out on Earth on disobeying Israel and unrepentant sinners. The purpose of the Tribulation period is to punish as well as call unbelievers to come to faith in Jesus Christ. Sadly, many people today will choose not to be rapture ready but instead they will choose to be wicked and unyielding to God who calls people to salvation through Jesus Christ. God has only one place that he has said that he will meet sinful men and save them. And that is at the foot of the Cross. Unfortunately, many will choose not to accept the remedy God has provided and will try to earn, buy, etc. their way to Heaven without going through the Cross. This is simply foolishness and it leads to a dead end.
The purpose of this article is to help people come to the loving and saving faith of the Lord Jesus and in turn be rapture ready for when God gives the signal to Jesus to go and get the church. Being rapture ready is very simple and it is strongly encouraged that people do not delay in making a decision for Jesus Christ. With a genuine heart and a cry out to God, one can be saved through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. But beware, simply repeating the words of a sinner's prayer will not save you. You must be sincere and willing to yield to the Lord. The Lord gave his all on the Cross in order to pay the price of sin, a price that none of us could pay on our own. So in return, Jesus wants nothing less than all of us.
The Bible says that the day of salvation is today, so please do not put off this very important decision for Jesus Christ. Your eternal destiny weighs in the balance. Get rapture ready today by accepting the FREE offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. For tomorrow could be too late.
God bless.

The Temptation of Jesus

Luke 4:1-13
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
We are tempted because we are drawn away from our strength in the faith.
James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
The Lord always prepares us for the worst.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

If you notice in verse 6 in the book of Luke in the 4th chapter that Satan has power in the world to give you riches, and fame.
And Jesus answered Satan with these words,8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
You cannot serve God and Wealth..
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Don’t labor for the future in this world, but the life with Jesus Christ up in Heaven
Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Jesus is the Bread of life
John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

What Does Jesus Christ Want Me to Do?

Have you ever said an unkind word to someone and then wished that you had not? Have you ever hurt someone’s feelings because you didn’t think carefully before you acted? Do you ever feel uncertain about what you should do when someone wants you to do something you know is wrong? Have you wondered what you should do when someone hurts your feelings? In all of these situations, thinking about Jesus Christ can help you.

Matthew 5:43,44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

It is easy to do things that hurt others or ourselves when we do not think carefully before we act or when our minds are full of anger, fear, or confusion. Because our actions follow our thoughts, thinking about Jesus Christ can help us. Thoughts of His life, His example, and what He wants us to do can calm our minds and help us make righteous choices.
As you think about the Savior, ask yourself, “What would Jesus Christ want me to do?” Answering this question will help each of us follow Him and choose the right.
The Savior loves us and wants us to be happy. He wants us to be kind, loving, forgiving, helpful, obedient, honest, and thankful. When we do these things, we are keeping His commandments. Following the example of Jesus Christ will help us be happy.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

                                                  “My Challenge to you”

If you are not a Christian, I invite you to receive the hope and peace in your heart that only Jesus gives.
To become a Christian, you must deal with Christ Jesus directly. In A quiet moment, bow your head and talk to him. In your own words say something like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe that you died and rose from the dead to save me from my sins. I want to be with you in heaven forever. God, forgive me of all my sins that I have committed against you. I here and now open my heart to you and ask you to come into my heart and life and be my personnel Savior. Amen.”

If you say that to Christ and mean it, He will come in instantly. At once you will sense you have been transferred from the devil’s dominion to the kingdom of God. Read Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

God Bless your day

HOW TO LOVE LIKE JESUS

To love like Jesus, we need to understand a simple truth. We cannot live the Christian life on our own.
Sooner or later, in the midst of our frustration, we come to the conclusion that we’re doing something wrong. It’s not working. Our best efforts just don’t cut it.
DISCOVERING WHY WE CAN’T LOVE LIKE JESUS
All of us want to love like Jesus. We want to be generous, forgiving, and compassionate enough to love people unconditionally. But no matter how hard we try, it just doesn’t work. Our humanness gets in the way.
Jesus was human too, but he was also God incarnate. He was able to see the people he created in a way that we can’t. He personified love. In fact, the Apostle John said, “God is love…” (1 John 4:16)
You and I are not love. We can love, but we can’t do it perfectly. We see others’ faults and stubbornness. When we remember the slights they have done to us, a small part of us can’t forgive. We refuse to make ourselves as vulnerable as Jesus did because we know we’ll get hurt again. We love and at the same time we hold back.
Yet Jesus tells us to love as he did: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” (John 13:34)
How do we do something we’re incapable of doing? We turn to Scripture for the answer and it’s there we learn the secret of how to love like Jesus.
LOVE LIKE JESUS THROUGH ABIDING
We don’t get very far before we learn the Christian life is impossible. Jesus gave us the key, however: “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)
He explained this truth in depth in the 15th chapter of the Gospel of John, with his parable of the vine and branches.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (John 15:1-10,)
Did you catch that in verse 5? “Apart from me you can do nothing.” We can’t love like Jesus on our own. In fact, we can’t do anything in the Christian life on our own.
The missionary James Hudson Taylor called it “the exchanged life.” We surrender our life to Jesus to the extent that when we abide in Christ, he loves others through us. We can endure rejection because Jesus is the vine that sustains us. His love heals our hurts and supplies the strength we need to keep going.

LOVE LIKE JESUS BY TRUSTING
Surrendering and abiding are things we can do only through the power of the Holy Spirit. He dwells in baptized believers, guiding us to the right decision and giving us the grace to trust God.
When we see a selfless Christian saint who can love like Jesus, we can be sure that person is abiding in Christ. What would be too hard on our own, we can do through this act of abiding. We continue to abide by reading the Bible, praying, and attending church with other believers. In this way our trust in God is built up.
Like branches on a vine, our Christian life is a growth process. We mature more every day. As we abide in Jesus, we learn to know him better and trust him more. Cautiously, we reach out to others. We love them. The greater our trust in Christ, the greater our compassion will be.
This is a lifelong challenge. When we are rebuffed, we have the choice to draw back or give our hurt to Christ and try again. Abiding is what matters. When we live that truth, we can begin to love like Jesus.

Peace

If you find anyone that you know, and they disagree with God, and the words from the bible, have no company with them.

II Thessalonians 3:14-15 14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

If you are a friend of Jesus he will be a friend of you peace will follow up all the days of your life.

II Thessalonians 3:16 16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. ... And those who are
peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. ...
James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The Lord said that he didn’t come to bring peace he came with a sword.

Matthew 10:34 34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
And the sword is the word of God
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

They that try to find that drinking liquor and taking drugs is a form of peace, you are wrong, because the peace of the Lord is not carnal it’s spiritual.

Proverbs 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath abbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
30They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
31Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
32At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
33Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
34Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
35They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

To think in the knowledge of flesh is worldly, and only profits what’s in this world. To think outside of this world with the sword of the spirit is peace and life.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

The weakness of the flesh, and the Power of God

The greatest battle that we live with is the power of disobedient in the flesh. The flesh of this carnal body in this world constrains us from getting closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. What our eyes see it wants, because the things that are fleshly are earthly, and those things that are from above are spiritual. The things that are from the earth are temporal, and the things from Heaven are eternal (Forever)
Pleasing God is not what is made by the hands of man, but from within yourself that the Lord Jesus Christ is looking for. If we give gifts to one another what profit if those things are earthly, and temporal. What gift would the Lord be pleased with?

Luke 21:1-4 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

The poor widow had the true love of God in her, because what she possessed in her earthly possession had no value compared to her salvation with God. How much did see love the Lord? Much!

The weakness of the flesh is the enmity of God

Hebrew 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Have you set your life to please man or God? In these last days Christian are making the faith of Jesus Christ into an entertainment of events to please man by religionist acts the please the eyes of the flesh rather than the Lord. I have even heard of churches having runway pageants. “Now, tell me, is the pageant for the Lord Jesus to judge their clothes? Or for man? Get the idea..

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

II Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Ephesians 6:10-16 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in highplaces. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

I've been touched by the hand of God…..I Love Jesus so much words can’t even describe the greatness of his on seen true love. If you would believe you would understand. My love for people becomes strong through Christ, because of his love. When I say I love you, It’s because the one that lives in me.

Mark 12:30,31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Would you believe with me?

                                                  “My Challenge to you”

If you are not a Christian, I invite you to receive the hope and peace in your heart that only Jesus gives.

Rebellion

What causes the rebellion syndrome to fail in the obedience to God? Were we born to disobey God? No, we were born into this world as sinners, because we have falling short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We are taking the falling of man from Adam & Eve.
Origin of rebellion, Genesis 3:4-7 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

God told Adam in the beginning that the tree of the forbidding garden should not be eating. This was a direct order from the creator (God) that if you would eat of that fruit you will die that very day.

Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Temptation is an itch that attacks your flesh to fulfill your actions. The devils works to find an area that is unguarded and begins to setup camp and begins a strategy of attacks until he then SUCCEE.
I Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

When the tempter is come and fills your mind with ideas of thought that are not Godly. Immediately replace those thoughts with Jesus, and Heavenly things and Joy with songs of praise and bible scriptures this will fight of the devil and bring strength to your flesh. The more of the devils assignment are discover and blocked and destroy, the more we are getting stronger and closer to a higher place with God. Remember the story of Jesus when the tempter came to reroute his mission to save the people of the world from there death in their sins. Read Matthew 4:1-11
Sinful addiction is the works of the devils, and assignment that have lifted us with our defense down and has left channels of cannels to feed your desires. We now have to fill those cavities with the rock of Jesus to power us with the Holy Ghost and the word of God.
It’s like having a bad tooth ache, we know that there is a problem, possible a tooth with a cavity, but does that stop us from eating the foods we like? Usually not, What do we do? We make an appointment for the dentist to check the problem of the tooth ache. Once the problem is corrected the pain is gone. Temptation are the same after the action of sin has been executed the pain is still there. There will be a time when we will think that God is working with our challenges when in fact the devil is adding fuel to the fire. Romans 6:1-4 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
How to protect our salvation?
Isaiah 59:17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance [for] clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
I John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.
Present your bodies a living sacrifice means that because Jesus Christ gave his life for our life to be set free from death into life. We now will let our new transformation become known onto all that known us and, to those that do not. This change will cover a multitude of sins. When you were in the tradition of the world you knew not righteousness living in darkness kept you blind from the truth, and you were free from life eternal. Being set free from sin you no longer service death, but life eternal which is blessed for ever amen.
Kill the old man!
One of the worst problems that new Christian are facing today is losing old friends. I am not telling you to tell them that you hate them. Just to let them know that you are not doing the things that you once did. And what are those things? Anything that will separate you from the love of God. (SIN) and anything that will tempt you from keeping your salvation guarded to protect your new transformation in the new life with Christ Jesus.
Why is that? Some come to Christ, and go back into the world of sin?
When fear comes at you, and you have nowhere to run, you go to God, God is greater than your fears that are why people call upon God for help.
Joel 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
Part 2 Rebellion Luke 11:11 Genesis 4:3 I Corinthians 10:13 II Corinthians 12:9
 I Timothy 1:9
How to detect dangers of rebellion in the flesh
The story of Cain & Abel proves a breakdown in the flesh due to jealousy causing a form of rebellion.

Genesis 4:3-7 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to the LORD. 4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect to Abel and to his offering: 5 But to Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. 6 And the LORD said to Cain, Why are you wroth? and why is your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, shall you not be accepted? and if you do not well, sin lies at the door. And to you shall be his desire, and you shall rule over him.
Your countenance becomes a sign of indication of character. This is a built-in feature that God has giving us to assist one another.
Numbers 6:26 The LORD lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace.
When we are depressed, upset, or mad we can see and hear a change of attitude. We have to choose the direction and attitude based on your faith and strength in the Lord. Remember the deep groves of cavities that we may have in our life that act as alleys or channels. One wrong doesn’t make it right.
I Corinthians 4:4-5 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. 5Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
Pride is a cavity channel that can make you self-centered and may be hard to break the habit.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
 1. (superl.) High; lofty; bold.
2. (superl.) Disdainfully or contemptuously proud; arrogant; overbearing.
3. (superl.) Indicating haughtiness; as, a haughty carriage.
Pride is not just for sinner only; Christian can also be included in this category. God knows how much blessing you can handle. Even Pastors of churches can become self-centered only thinking that they are greater than their congregation not in the sense of knowledge, but standing on top of the mountain and only want to be noticed as better than anyone in the church.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
We will find an over amounted of people in this world with character of pride in the last days. The power of money has changed the people to service mammon as there answer to a better life. This problem has escalated because of the power of media and internet. People want to covet
MAMMON. ... In these passages mammon merely means wealth, and is called "unrighteous,"
because the abuse of riches is more frequent than their right use
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
I Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Hebrews 13:5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Stumbling stone can come in 2 ways, offence or avoid. There could be a time when the Lord will put down a stumbling stone to catch your attention. Our Lord does not give up to direct your ways. Jesus doesn’t want you to reason with him, he just wants you to pay attention to direction and seek for the best chose. The second stumbling stone will be the one that you will see before you trip over it. This type is the Christian on high alert and strong in the faith always looking to avoid dangerous damage to their faith and direction.
Romans 9:32-33 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
33As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.Peter became a stumbling block for Jesus.

Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
