Keep your eyes on Jesus

Peter was a man that thought that he was invincible and a bit self-righteous. Don't under estimate your strengthen in your faith with Jesus Christ. You must know without a shadow of a doubt that you are in the will of God. Living on the edge in this world will not cut it with Jesus Christ. Jesus is looking to help you receive the gift of eternality, but in order to receive that gift you must put your life in the hands of God.
Pride is a canal disease that attacks the flesh and weakens the relationship with the Lord.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  synonyms:proudarrogantvainconceitedsnobbishsuperiorself-importantpompoussuperciliouscondescending, patronizing;
If you are ashamed of  speaking about the word of God and Jesus Christ he will do the same to you before his father and holy angels.
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
Peter was refusing to learn in the pride of his own impulsive will, which seemed to be humility. But unless he learns to accept the love of Christ’s humiliation, and is so cleansed by its power that he yields his human will wholly to the divine, and learns in self-sacrifice what the spirit of Christ really is, he can have no part in Him. The lesson is a hard one, but it is necessary; the sacrifice of will may be harder than that of life; but the strong man must become as the little child before he can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

 Trusting in the Lord with faith requires your life to be in the view of God's eyes at all times. Peter lost faith because of the storm and took his eyes of Jesus the one that will lead you to safety, and the solid ground Jesus laid for him began to dissolve and he was sinking in the ocean.
Matthew 14: 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
Jesus makes an example that the Lord is our servant in this world. If you service the Lord without compromise the Lord will provide all your needs.  Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Luke 22:27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Don't take your eyes of Jesus no matter what comes your way the Lord will keep you on solid ground.

May God bless your life with the peace of Christ, Jesus Amen.
