Are you sure you are going to Heaven? What makes it a sure
thing? Are you living up to the truth and are you living up to the high
standards that the Lord is pleased with?
Proverbs 28:10 Whoso
causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into
his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
How do you know you are in Love with Christ, Jesus?
When you ignore, and turn away from your fleshy desires, to
replace them with the desire to please God; then yourself.
1 John 2:15 Love not the
world, neither the things that
are in the world. If any man
love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Romans 8:38-39 For I
am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor
powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be
able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me.
Examples: Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters:
for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to
the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:10-13 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in
much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11If therefore ye have not been
faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12And if ye have not been
faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your
own?13No servant can serve two
masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will
hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
The meaning of mammon: Mammon riches. Mammon. Earthly goods; property;
riches. No man can

There is no other god before our true God…
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God.

Idols are things you cherish more than God
Exodus 20:4-5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any
likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself
to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourthgeneration of them that hate me;
Example:
You have an assignment for the Lord. You have the time set aside for the Lord’s
work. Something comes to your mind, and you say, ooops. I better get to the
lawn to cut it today before I start on the Lord’s work, because if I don’t do
the yard today it will be 1 to 2 weeks before I can get around doing the yard.
The Yard
became your God. You served the need of the yard before God.
I can't go
to church because I have nothing to wear. Would you say that if you had to go
to work?
I can’t
attend church tonight because there is a program on TV, tonight this is the only
day that this program would be aired. The TV was cherished and became your God.
I can’t
give my tithes this week, because I have to buy an outfit for my vacation trip.
Mammon became your God.
Malachi
3:8-10 Will a
man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In
tithes and offerings.9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye
have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10Bring ye all the tithes into
the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now
herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of
heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it
Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break
through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also.

The love of Money is the Root of all evil
I Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some
coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through
with many sorrows.
Honor God with your heart not your lips
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of
you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far
from me.
When you speak
a vow in the service for the Lord don’t break it, that becomes a lie.
Job 22:27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee,
and thou shalt pay thy vows.
Broad is the way
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 13:3-9 And he spake many things unto
them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the
fowls came and devoured them up: 5Some fell upon stony places,
where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had
