Pride

Proverbs 16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Pride is the inter voice whispers to you saying my way is better.

Jeremiah 13:15 Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.

To have pride it's a sin. If you can't lower your standards to a Godly matter you have pride.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

1.     arrogantly superior and disdainful:

"a look of haughty disdain"

synonyms: proud · arrogant · vain · conceited · snobbish · superior ·

The Lord hates pride, The prideful will not be unpunished

Isaiah 25:11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

Philippians 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

I John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Sin controls our present life, if you let it. Unseen future events destroy our destiny to our path to eternity in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

In the days of Noah, the people of the world had pride. They wouldn't not even consider that Noah was trying to save the people from the tremble wrath of God, there pride was bigger than there heart.

Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

If we were true believers in Christ Jesus we would see our future in the present life, because we would be ready for the coming of the Lord for the future.

Put away your pride and your shame for the gospel, and the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Lord Jesus Christ will be ashamed of you before the Father in heaven.

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

In the last days people will become scoffers, and reprobates

Romans 1:28-32 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

II Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation

Abide in Him

John 15:4

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot beareth fruit of itself, it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

If you stay with the lord he will stay with you. It is like the branch; no branch can bear fruit of itself, but it is from the vine. You can’t have the fruits unless you have the lord. If you don’t have the lord in your life, and don’t live the right ways before the lord, you can bear the fruit of the spirit.

Now, what is the fruit of the spirit?

Galatians 5:22-23-

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

For you to obtain these fruits you have to abide in the Lord. There is no substitute or cutting corners to achieve this. If you love the world, the love of the father is not in you. If you hate your brother, the love of the father is not in you. So stay close with the lord, live the life that you are suppose to live with the lord, and what could make him happy. Follow his commandments, and follow his path that he wants to lead you in. I guarantee that you will succeed and prosper in walking with the lord.

John 15:7

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

If you follow God’s words and continue his works and the path that he wants to lead you, then whatever you ask of in his name it will be done. It is like school: If you being the student do all of your homework right, and what the teacher expects of you, then you will be rewarded. God is the teacher, and you are the student, and if you abide by the rules, and stick to the tasks that are given to you, then when the time comes for a favor or a question, you will get what you are asking for.

Also when you are in battle, who are you going to have on your side? Hopefully, you will have God. Because God, can fight your battles, there is no competition when being with God on your side, and is fighting the big fight. Any decisions or complications that come our way, we ask of him and he will lead you on your way. This all pertains to living the right way with him, and being rewarded for it.

Matthew 7:7

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
