Have you
felt defeated, and worn out, beat up, and lack of hope? You’re not alone. Our
patience requires lots of trust in the Lord.
James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith
worketh patience.
Your
enemy will come in to try to remove you from your safe place in the Lord.
Matthew
5: 43 Ye have heard
that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But
I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew
4:3 And when the
tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these
stones be made bread
Our
lives are surrounded with temptation, in our families, in our homes, on the
streets, in our jobs. In this world we require the reinforcement of a greater
armor that is given to the children of God that are obedient to the word of
God, are you faithful?
I Peter 1:14-16 As obedient children, not
fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15
But as he
which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16
Because it is
written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful
lusts;
Put on the whole armor of God
Ephesians 6:11-17 Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12
For we wrestle
not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness
in highplaces. 13Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
In the doing the services for the Lord you will be persecuted for
his name sake. It will be verbally and physically.
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of
evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which
were before you.
Isaiah 51:7 Hearken
unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my
law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. (assaulted) transitive verb to make a fierce or abusive verbal attack on somebody
or something
Fearing God Alone
(Matthew 10:26-31)
26
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be
revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I tell
you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that
preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not
them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two
sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground
without your Father. 30 But the very
hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not
therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Faint not at your trials, and worry not if strange things happen
to you
I Peter 4:12- Beloved, think it not strange
concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing
happened unto you: 13But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are
partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye
may be glad also with exceeding joy.
Remember the Lord knows your needs before you even ask for them.
Matthew 6:31-34 Therefore take no thought, saying, What
shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For
after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.34Take therefore no thought for the
morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof.
Continue I Peter 4:14-19
14If ye be reproached for the
name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their
part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15But let none of you suffer as a
murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. 16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be
ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the
house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the
gospel of God? 18And if the righteous scarcely
be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?19Wherefore let them that suffer
according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a
faithful Creator.
The Joy of the Lord is your strength
Nehemiah 8:10 Then
he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send
portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be
ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
