II Peter 3:3-13 Knowing this first, that
there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4And saying, Where is the
promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue
as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5For this they willingly
are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth
standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that
then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the
earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire
against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8But, beloved, be not
ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand
years, and a thousand years as one day. 9The Lord is not slack
concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to
us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to
repentance.
10But the day of the Lord
will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away
with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth
also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all
these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be
in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting
unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be
dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13Nevertheless we,
according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness.
It is
Dangerous to delay Repentance
Hebrew
12:17
For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he
was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it
carefully with tears.

Stands without an excuse

we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the
Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

II Thessalonians 2:10-12 And with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received
not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but
had pleasure in unrighteousness.
A woe is pronounced
on those who continue to Procrastinate Salvation

29:1 He,
that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be
destroyed, and that without remedy.
Proverbs 1:24-28 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have
stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; 25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and
would none of my reproof: 26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will
mock when your fear cometh; 27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your
destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not
answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

It’s too
late to enter after the door is shut

13:24,25 Strive
to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter
in, and shall not be able. 25When once the master of
the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand
without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he
shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

8:36,37 For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
