Opening your eyes of your heart and
close your eyes to the flesh. For man seeks understand, and wisdom in this
world, and you will have a hard time gripping to the truth of God's true reason
for salvation.
I
Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this
world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their
own craftiness.
Matthew
26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak.
Man in this world seeks for the power
of knowledge, and the end results is destruction.
Proverbs
14:6 A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy to one who
has understanding.
Proverbs
9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge
of the holy is understanding.
Matthew
15:14 Let them alone:
they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall
fall into the ditch.
Better is one that is blind to the
world and the cares of it, then a person with great wisdom in a evil world.
Isaiah 42:19
Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I
sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD'S
servant?
This is Jesus speaking, that if we
look away from the tradition of the world we will find that Jesus is the answer
to a better life on the earth, and the life to come with the Lord in Heaven.
John 14:6 Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.
John 9:39 And
Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not
might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
II Peter 1:9
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath
forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
A backslider will think that they are
better off in their ways.
Proverbs
14:14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man
shall be satisfied from himself.
If you want to find the Lord, seek
for him blind from the rudiments of the world, and you will find him at the door
of your heart.
Colossians
2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the
tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
You can't service two gods
Luke 16:13 No
servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the
other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve
God and mammon.
When Jesus was fasting and prayer in
the wilderness, and came to the end of his fasting the devil came to him
tempting him with the rudiments, and the cares of the world, and the riches, if
Jesus would worship the devil, the devil would give it to him, and Jesus said'
NO..
Luke 4:5-8 And
the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the
kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And
the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of
them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou
therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said
unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the
Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
James 4:8 Draw
nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye
sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Matthew
26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak.
Enrich yourself with God's glory, and
endless compassion, it will never fade away, Jesus will never leave you nor
forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be
without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he
hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
James 2:5 Hearken,
my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith,
and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Jeremiah
29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me
with all your heart.
Matthew 7:7 Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you:
