Where do we
start repairing our life? Let us begin by looking into our heart and the
thoughts of our mind.
The Lord is
looking at the heart. Your heart is you source of actions and ability to
service the Lord and man.
I Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the
height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on
the outward appearance, but the LORD
looketh on the heart.
Example: It’s
like preparing for a car race, your opponent has the best looking custom painted
job on his car ahh look at those heads turning, and you have a basic looking
paint job on your car. The crews looks hard at the opponents fancy painted car,
and already the crewed is already judging the win by the opponents custom painted
car.
And the race
begins and, both cars are at the starting line and racing Christmas light
starts from the yellow to the green, and there off! you hear the wheels
screeching and the burning of the tires smoke raising up in the air both cars racing
down the track at very high speed, and the crow yelling for the win, both car
racers reach the finish line and the winners is called…Salvation is the winner!
This was the car with the basic paint job. The driver with the fancy paint job
put all his money and time on the outside finish. While the other driver put
his money where it matters the most, in the engine. This is like your heart and
your mind. This is a saying in the word of God that reads in the book of: Matthew 6:21 For
where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
We are not on the earth to please
man, but God
1 Thessalonians 2:4 But as we were
allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as
pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
Put this in mind that when the inside
of your heart and mind are repaired, you will know how to present your bodies
as a living sacrifices to the Lord. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. We are here on the earth to please God first; then man. The bible states that because of Adam and Eve. Sin was brought into the world and passed on through Moses and even them that had not sinned after the same way that Adam disobeyed God not to eat of the tree that was forbidding. It’s was a spiritual death that passed onto us that became a disconnection from God. Romans 5:12-14 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:13(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. The figure to come without sin was Jesus Christ (verse 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Verse 13 Paul has shown that keeping
the law does not bring salvation. Now he adds that breaking the law is not what
brings death. death is the result of Adam's sin and of the sins we all commit.
Verse 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin
abounded, grace did much more abound:
The Law points out our sin and places
the responsibility for it squarely on our shoulders. But the law offers no
remedy. When we're convicted of sin, we must turn to Jesus Christ for healing.
Can we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? The bible
said no! God forbid. Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may
abound? 2
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to
sin, live any longer therein?
The old person was of this world and cares
for the things of this world which are not for the love of God. Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified
with him, that the body of
sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin. I John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the
world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Romans 4:13-15 For the promise, that he
should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed,
through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the
promise made of none effect: 15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no
law is, there is no transgression.
Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of
his heart was only evil continually.Pastor Rolando Ramos
