How I Can Find Jesus? - or How to Allow Him to Find Me...

1. It is Not Easy

This is quite contrary to what most people will tell you about becoming a Christian. Nevertheless it is what Jesus Himself said , Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Note that "strait" means simply hard or difficult.
2. We Are Encouraged to Pursue it Anyway

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: - In the Greek language of the Bible the following verse are in the present continuous tense,    Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
You could accurately translate this as ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking. It is pretty hard to know why God does things, but my guess is that He wants to know, and He wants you to know that you seriously want to receive what He has for you.
3. What it is That Makes it Hard is Sin.

Most people have no idea what God says sin is. We think sin is something bad done to people, to the environment, children or animals and these things are also sin. God says sin is "unrighteousness"; that is to say anything that is contrary to what God wants us to do. Heaps of people leave this document right here because they do not want to have to do anything just because God says so.  Oh, well that is theirs to choose, but it is a poor choice because God is the source of all life and sooner or later they will realise - too late probably - that death for eternity is not much of a choice for them to have made.
These are some things that God says about sin (anything contrary to His will) - Eze 18:4; Eze 18:20; the soul that sinneth, it shall die.  Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The gateway to Jesus and eternal life is "strait" or difficult because we do not want to admit to being sinners, nor do we want to turn away from our sin. But if there is someone reading these words who is sick of their life because of its miserable failure to be lived any way but against God and against people and against their own self, then there is some good news for you, read on.
4. Jesus Came to Look for Those Who Are Lost in Sin.

Jesus told Zachaeus, who was a sinner big-time Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. And He told the religious men of that day.. Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
5. He Paid the Price for Our Sin by Dying on the Cross.

God does not ignore our sin He does away with it. That was my turning point and it can be yours too. If you want to be rid of your sin and its penalty of bondage and death God has already arranged the remedy. His Word the Bible says, Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.   ----      There are many other verses that confirm all these things
6. What Must I Do to be Saved?

There was a jailer once who asked that question in the middle of an earthquake that opened the prison doors. When he looked after the noise and shaking subsided he found that his prisoners (Christians) had chosen to stay in order to speak to him about the Lord Jesus.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed [their] stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.
You and your house can be saved too. The same way. The word "believe" in the Greek language of the Bible means to "believe in, trust in and rely on." Friend if you will believe in, trust in and rely on Jesus Christ alone for your sins to be forgiven and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord in your life He will do it for you now.

7. Prayer is Just Talking to God.

You can pray just by forming the words in your mind, because God is able to know even your thoughts, but it is probably better for your sake to pray this prayer aloud. Print the whole page and read the prayer aloud and then date and sign it to remind you that you did this sincerely believing that God would hear you and receive you into His kingdom.
Father in Heaven
Though I do not understand all I need to about this yet I want to receive Jesus as my Saviour and Lord by faith.
I ask Him to forgive my sins and to cleanse them away through His blood which He shed when He died on Calvary for the sins of the whole world .
Come into my heart and take up residence there as Lord of my life.
From now on I will try to obey whatever you tell me to do in your Word, the Bible.
Let your Holy Spirit control and guide my life from now on, leading me in the ways you want me to go.
Help me to make right anything I can make right to people I have wronged,  and to be able to forgive myself for things that are impossible for me to make right now.
Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer   -------------Amen

8. How Do I know Something Has Really Happened in My Life?

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ------  2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The Bible says in these verses that a spiritual change takes place in the lives of all who pray a prayer similar to the one above and really mean it. Though you must repent, or turn around from your habitual sin becoming a Christian is not something you do it is something that happens to you that God does.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  17 ¶ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.
God adopts us, makes us over in the likeness of Jesus. From that point on He sees us not as sinners, but as sinners who are covered in Jesus’ righteousness (or goodness).   Changes will take place in your taste in language, music, food, drink, company you keep, values, morality etc. etc. What changes? I am not going to tell you that, but I will tell you this, if there is no change it did not happen - go back to step 2 (above) and keep seeking, knocking and banging on God’s door until He meets you on it, because He will if you want it badly enough (i.e." when you get real") When it happens you will not have to ask other people if anything has changed they will tell you, Christians and non-christians alike.
You might get a "buzz" you might not. But if you were sincere when you prayed the prayer you will change, absolutely, totally, wonderfully, without any further input from you.

9. What do I do Now?

1. Let us know through the Feedback page on this site. We will pray for your well-being and for your future.
2. Find us or find a church that believes and teaches that   the Bible is God’s Word preserved for us today without error. Not so easy these days but if you contact us we will do our best to help you make a start in this direction.
3. Get yourself a King James Bible and a good English Dictionary and begin to read the Bible through as many times as you can before you die. Start with Matthew's Gospel and read through until you get back to the place you started. Read the hard bits along with the easy and don’t worry if you do not understand it all. That is what is so good about it,  if you do this you will read it for fifty years as I have and still find new and amazing things in it.
4. Start talking to God your Father on a regular basis. Talk in your mind, or when you are alone audibly. Talk to Him about the things you need and the things you can do without. Ask Him questions, you will be surprised where the answers pop up from. Talk to Him for other people who are worse off than you and you will often be surprised what He does for them just because now you’re His child and He wants to do things for them to please you. (Don’t be too disappointed when you don’t get everything, or when you don’t get it straight away, He is our Father, not a "Sugar Daddy")
5. Tell others about Jesus once you understand what it is that He has done for you. I have been doing that for nearly forty years now and nothing gives me a greater "buzz"  than when I hear of someone taking my advice to receive Jesus too.

Come meet Jesus..

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, I will forgive their sins and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

JESUS is there with you right now. Jesus wants to be your Lord and Savior. Jesus loves you so much Jesus died just for you. You were on Jesus mind when He hung on that cross. Here is a question for you today.
If you were to die today, do you know where you will spend eternity? You will spend eternity in one of two places, Heaven or hell. It depends on what you do with Jesus! Will you invite Jesus into your heart today? Jesus is with you right now. Let Jesus love you.

YOUR GIFT FROM JESUS - ETERNAL LIFE

Below is the Romans road to Salvation. By reading and understanding these verses and saying the pray with sincerity, you will be forgiven for your sins. Jesus will come into your heart and you will be born again.
·         Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
We have all sinned and fall short of God's Glory.
·         Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Our sin has earned a wage and that wage is death , separation from God in Hell. God has provided a gift [ eternal life ] and yet we must receive Jesus to have this new and eternal life.
·         Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Jesus paid the price of our sins on the cross. He died for us and arose again on the third day, then ascended unto the Father. Even in our sins God loved us.
·         Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
·         Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
·         Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
·         John 14:6 "Jesus said "I am the way, the Truth, and the Life, No one comes to the Father except through me"

Why not receive Jesus as your Savior right now, give your heart to Jesus. He is waiting for you. It is simple, but life changing. Call on Jesus right now. Read this prayer and believe with your heart. Jesus will give you everlasting life, His gift for you. Lets pray...
"Dear Jesus I believe in you. Have mercy on me a sinner. Lord Jesus I want to follow you. Wash me in your precious blood cleanse me from all my sins and come into my heart, be my Savior and Lord. I believe you lived without sin, died on the cross for my sins, rose again on the third day and have now ascended unto the Father. I love you Lord, take control of my life. I believe you hear my prayer. I welcome the Holy Spirit of God to lead me in your way. I accept you Lord Jesus as my Savior and desire to be a true believer and follower of Jesus. Thank you Jesus for hearing my prayer. In Jesus name I pray."
Amen

Praise the Lord Jesus
God Bless you.

Be ready for our Lord Jesus Christ is coming, remember you don't want to be left behind...

Sow and Reap...

The Lord God created the earth, how wonderful is his sowing. A fullness of God’s workmanship of a perfect hand, and we are reaping the benefits. Have you ever started a project and spent a lot of time trying to do the best you can to make it perfect not knowing if it was going to turn out the way you imaged it? Do you blame yourself or, do you blame it on the materials?

This could go both ways.

If you put your whole heart into a vision on how you will begin, Like setting a time when you will begin your project, and what materials you will be using. You could complete your project in the way you see fit for the vision of your heart. Cutting corners will end up falling short at the end.

If you sow on good ground you will reap good seed Luke 8:15  But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Sowing into the sprint of God is always the best approach to a perfect view on God’s plan in your life with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you sow into the flesh the flesh will only seek for things that are earthly and pleasing to the eyes, ears, the body etc.

I John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Examine your turf, are you planted in the right soil? Would a plant grow in the sand at the beach? Would a Christian grow If..Luke 8:4-And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

In the faithful life as a believer in the truth of the word of God keeping the commandments, and keeping your selves unspotted from the cares of the world your blessing will come unto you from heaven and earth.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Mark 12:30 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Repentance is required, are you self righteous?
I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
If you hold back what the Lord Jesus expects from you, he will hold back what also belongs to you. Truly the bible reads that if we ask anything in his name Jesus will give it to us. John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

I John 1:5-6 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

"THE PARABLES OF JESUS" The Wedding Feast

INTRODUCTION
1. We come to the third of three parables Jesus told when challenged by
the religious leaders in the temple during His last week...
a. "The Two Sons" was told in regards to their rejection of John the Baptist -
"But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They said unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him."
b. "The Wicked Vinedressers" described how God would reject them
because they had rejected His prophets, and ultimately His own
Son! - **Matthew 21:33-46**
"c. In "The Wedding Feast", the wickedness and rebelliousness of the religious leaders is even more vividly described
2. In "The Wedding Feast", the Lord is revealing Himself and the nature of their rejection more clearly than He did in the previous parable...
a. There He was indeed the son; but here He is a royal son
b. There they were rejecting what they rightfully owed by way of
contract; but here they are rejecting kindness which had been
graciously offered to them! 3. In this parable, we also see an expansion of the element of Divine Judgment...
a. The previous parable described judgment upon Israel for rejecting God's Son
b. So does this parable, but it also describes judgment upon those who have accepted the King's invitation, yet not in the way it was intended to be received!
I. THE PARABLE ANALYZED
(Matthew 22:1-14)
A. AN INVITATION SPURNED(1-10)
1. The kingdom of heaven is likened to a wedding feast -
Matthew 22:1-2
"And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,"
a. Isaiah had used the figure of a feast to prophecy of the
Messianic age -
"And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined."
**Here is a marvelous prophecy of "all people" Gentiles and Jews together--at God's messanic banquet celebrating the overthrow of evil and the joy of eternity with God. It shows that God intended his saving message to go out to the whole world, not just to the Jews. During the feast, God will end death forever. **
Isaiah 25:7,8
"And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it."
b. The Book of Revelation describes a future marriage of the
Lamb and His Bride -
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready."
2. And yet the invitation is spurned...
a. By those indifferent -
"and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:"
b. By those rebellious -

"and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them."
-- Jesus may have reference here to the Jewish nation, as He
did in the parable of "The Wicked Vinedressers" -
 3. The King's furious reaction -
"But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city."
a. Those who had so callously rejected His invitation, abused
His servants, are themselves destroyed
b. Many understand this to be a prophecy of the destruction of
Jerusalem, which occurred in 70 A. D. -
"And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou known, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in one every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."
**The Jewish leaders had rejected their king. They had gone too far. They had refused God's offer of salvation in Jesus Christ(The time of thy visitation) and soon their nation would suffer. God did not turn away from the Jewish people who obeyed him, though. He contines to offer salvation to the people he loves, both Jews and Gentiles. Eternal peace is within your reach--accept it while the opportunity is still offered. **
***About 40 years after Jesus said these words, they came true. In A.D. 66, the Jews revolted against Roman control. Three years later Titus, son of the emperor Vaspasian, was sent to crush the rebellion. Roman soldiers attacked Jerusalem and broke through the northern wall but still couldnt take the city. Finally, they laid seige to it, and in A.D.70 they  were able to enter the severely weakened city and burn it. Six hundred thousand Jews were killed during Titus' onslaught. ***
4. The invitation is extended to others -
"Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the high ways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests."
a. As in the parable of "The Wicked Vinedressers", the
opportunity to enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of God is
extended to others -
"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."
(Gentiles)
Acts 11:18
"When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life."
B. A GUEST IMPROPERLY ATTIRED (11-14)
1. Without a wedding garment -
"And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: and he said unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless."
a. It was customary for the hosts to provide their guests
suitable apparel. To not wear the provided garment showed a lack of respect and appreciation. No real excuse could be offered for not wearing one("he
was speechless")
2. The King's furious reaction -
"Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
a. The seriousness of the insult is seen in the reaction of
the king. The punishment described is similar to that found in other
parables -
(parable of the weeds)
"and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 13:50
"and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
3. Jesus' conclusion -
"For many are called, but few are chosen."
a. This summarizes the main point of the entire parable
b. The invitation (call) of God is extended to many, but few
receive it in such a way to be among the "chosen"
[This parable was clearly told in response to the rejection of the King's Son and His Kingdom by the Jewish nation.  However, elements of the parable apply to us as well, for the invitation to attend "The Wedding Feast" is still being offered through the call of the Gospel! With that in mind, consider a few more thoughts on...]
II. THE PARABLE APPLIED
A. HAVE YOU SPURNED THE FATHER'S INVITATION?
1. Through indifference?
a. Many people do not know God because of a lack of interest
b. Yet God has so ordered the affairs of life to encourage
faith and interest in Him -
"and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed , and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:"
2. Through rebelliousness?
a. There are many who know full well the Father's invitation
b. But for whatever reason they rebel against it
c. In so doing, they despise riches of God's grace and store
up for themselves God's righteous indignation -
[Certainly all should respond to the Father's invitation if they
desire to enjoy the spiritual blessings of the kingdom of heaven.
B. ARE YOU ATTIRED FOR THE WEDDING?
1. Many seek to attend the "wedding" in apparel of their own
choosing. Some, not knowing the righteousness of God, have sought to establish their own -
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth."
b. People do this today, when they expect salvation on terms
different than those taught in the gospel
1) E.g., trying to obtain salvation based upon their own
good works. Trying to obtain salvation on faith without
repentance and obedience. We must be willing to put on the "apparel" that God gives us:We must "put on" Jesus Christ!
1) First and foremost this involves clothing ourselves with
Christ. Which Paul explains takes place in baptism -
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."
-- Have you put Christ on in baptism?
b. We must "put on" the new man!
1) Paul applies the figure of putting on a garment to the
development of Christian conduct and character -
**Colossians 3:5-14**
2) Do we wish to be found at the wedding feast adorned with
the apparel of the "old man with his deeds"?
-- Are you putting off the "old man", and putting on the
"new man"? We must "put on" righteous deeds!
1) John described the preparation for glorious wedding of
the Lamb and His bride -
2) We understand that the "righteous acts of the saints"
are not done to merit salvation -
"But after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"
"3) They are done to bring honor to God, and therefore we
are to be ever ready and zealous to do good works -
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
-- Are you doing what you can to "beautify" the wedding

garment of the bride?
